Stitch is a (work-in-progress) Java based program used to stitch together adjacent images or photos taken by camera.
It requires no image experience.
The images can be in any relationship to each other. Stitch will determine whether the two photos are above or below each other, or beside each other. The program allows you to provide a hint on the sides of the images that should be stitched together. The algorithm will then focus on the sides you have selected.
The program assumes colour images (formats jpg, png, bmp, gif),
Most photos you take will have a rotation of one or two degrees in respect to each other. The algorithm copes with an offset as well as a small rotation. For example, it copes with rotations of up to ten degrees.
Feel free to provide feedback on the website
The program is free to use (like free beer). I do not provide the source code. I may “Open Source” the program at some stage in the future (so its not free as in freedom yet).
You can use the program in its original form.
I obviously do not assume liability for any use or mis-use of the program.
Enjoy using it.
